IMS encourages motivated third party principal investigators (PIs) interested in seeking funds (limited grant) needed to support a collaborative research program to contact us for consideration. On quarterly basis, IMS will announce on this website its list of Request For Proposals (RFP) for specific topics. The applicant must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) containing full information on the PI’s contact information, affiliation/s, the topic of interest (non-proprietary information), and a brief outline of the program’s roadmap, including the level of funds needed to achieve the goal. After a concluded review and at the discretion of IMS, the selected PIs will be invited to submit their proposals according to IMS guidelines for consideration. Awarded funds will be dispersed to the selected PI according to IMS’s established budgetary guidelines. The proposed budgets can not include the following items: capital equipment, indirect costs, travel, patent related costs, or fees/profit
The scope and terms of such proposals has to be inline with IMS goals, expertise, and interests in the areas of energy generation, energy storage, and advanced integrated sensors. We hope that the participating PIs would achieve their goals and continue building value in this association. In return, IMS hopes to capitalize on the outcome of such opportunity to advance its own programs.
